I think many non-artists underestimate how much observation is involved. You're constantly studying shapes, lighting, anatomy, expressions, and composition, even when you're not actively drawing

I can relate tonthis so much my wife keeps seeing me staring at something for like 15 mins and she thinks I just zoned out. Meanwhile im like looking at shapes values ec4

Haha, exactly! To everyone else it looks like we're staring into space, but we're actually analyzing shadows, proportions, edges, and all kinds of little details. It's funny how studying art changes the way you look at everyday things.

Thats a tough one. I would say in my experience people see my art (mainly on discord) and think I can do a completely diffrent style be it super realistic portraits to dbz characters. And ir would only take like 10 mins -_-

That everything is easy and even easier upon looking but I believe it’s easy to say than done . While some may understimate if what they see is just a “basic “ figure .
Having renewed my vows in painting /drawing this recent time (lol) I would also say everything considered “art” takes time ,effort and consistency . It takes learning ,discovery . Everyone is a student when comes to art . I,thank you ;)

That the only thing that matters is technical skill to make art.
Sometimes its about what it makes yourself feel, rather than trying to empress everyone
